Dassiesfontein
This famous and iconic farm store, only 35 minutes (32 kilometres) from Rusty Gate, has an amazing range of products on display – any shopper’s dream. Their restaurant is famous for its ‘boerekos’ menu from waterblommetjie bredie to freshly baked bread. Definitely a must visit for all.

Elgin Grabouw
About 50 kilometres from Rusty Gate, the Elgin Valley and Grabouw area has much to offer and is a must visit for tourists. The iconic Elgin Railway Market is a mecca for artisanal food and drink and live entertainment on weekends. This route promises spectacular vistas and many stops along the way for exceptional wines and artisanal produce.
