Greyton
Only 30 minutes (28 kilometres) from Rusty Gate and easily accessible via well maintained dirt roads this quaint little town, and “2021 Dorp van die Jaar” winner, has much to offer. Dassiesfontein
This famous and iconic farm store, only 35 minutes (32 kilometres) from Rusty Gate, has an amazing range of products on display – any shopper’s dream. Their restaurant is famous for its ‘boerekos’ menu from waterblommetjie bredie to freshly baked bread. Definitely a must visit for all.

Elgin Grabouw
About 50 kilometres from Rusty Gate, the Elgin Valley and Grabouw area has much to offer and is a must visit for tourists. The iconic Elgin Railway Market is a mecca for artisanal food and drink and live entertainment on weekends.
