Self-catering accommodation to suit the needs of couples, families and larger groups

Our country style self-catering accommodation comprises five beautifully furnished cottages that sleep between 4 and 6 people as well as a special communal entertainment unit that sleeps 20 people with the necessary facilities to host large gatherings. You can put your feet up at one of the cottages, opt to connect with friends or family at Eagle’s Eyrie or book the entire venue.

Cottages

The cottages are located on a terrace, lined with majestic pin oak trees overlooking a bubbling creek. Each cottage is private with a walled veranda, but also within comfortable walking distance for groups or families relaxing together.

Eagle’s Eyrie

Eagle’s Eyrie is located on a terrace overlooking the cottages, featuring a majestic view of the Helderstroom valley. With sleeping capacity of up to 20 people it is ideal for larger self-catering gatherings.

Corporate Events

Come experience our upmarket farm style event and accommodation facilities ideally suited for smaller and intimate corporate events, management breakaway sessions, team planning and work sessions, year-end functions, product launches and more.

Special Occasions

Milestone birthdays, weddings, anniversaries and other special occasions are moments that matter. Rusty Gate is ideal as an extraordinary venue for small intimate gatherings and parties, and also corporate functions or team-building events.

Respecting nature and other guest while visiting at Rusty Gate

We are privileged and proud to be custodians of our Piece of Heaven in the Mountains. It is therefore also important to us that our visiting guests respects the beauty and abundance of nature as well as other visitors at Rusty Gate.

We have some “house rules” to ensure that everyone is on the same page, e.g.:

Unfortunately, no guest pets are allowed.
Keeping it peaceful and quiet while staying with us so that all guests can enjoy a great experience, and
Protecting the environment by preventing wild fires and not lighting fires outside designated areas.
